who is the contemplative teacher?
My name is Sherry and I have been a public school teacher for nearly four decades, having taught Kindergarten through University level math and teacher preparation courses. I tutor children in mathematics privately for fun! The pandemic had me rethinking my job and in order to keep my sanity, I chose to teach middle school mathematics at the new virtual program in my suburban, inner-city school district. I am a LGBTQ+ ally and a staunch advocate of public education. My ongoing contact with former colleagues as well as students keeps me abreast of what is going on in the brick and mortar structures today. It is with this that I share my musings with you. All opinions are my own and are not a reflection of anyone but my own contemplations.
